Conquerer of cancer, Marshall Matlock, found his partner for life. "An awful lot had to happen for our paths to cross. What sometimes seems like insurmountable calamities in the moment can prove to be blessings in hindsight." Here's to the beginning of their incredible story.

Nicole and Jimmy are dear friends of ours. We met in college and have followed each other's lives to this day. Our children stair-step one another, attend the same school, and have sleepovers like best friends do. We totally love it when people we know ask us to shoot for them. Not only do we know who they are but where they come from. This session took place in the home where Jimmy's grandfather was raised. The farm has been around for generations in Enid, Oklahoma. Most of the time on location we found ourselves covered with goose bumps from the energy and depth of history surrounding us. This experience reminded us that the memory of family and love shared in a home never dies but lives forever.

While expecting, the Kenney’s baby girl was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. Her right and left vessels were transposed, and she was required to undergo major open heart surgery just days after being born. "We have faith that Hildie will conquer this obstacle that has been set before her with the help of our Lord and Savior. We have no choice but to be brave and ask that you pray this over our family." When Hildie was released from the hospital, we met the Kenney's at their home to celebrate with new family photos. How incredible to witness their faith, strength, love for one another and Carver holding his sissy for the first time.
